DEDICATED TO
Alan Parker Turtle Assistant Professor of Horticulture
During the fall of 1930 an addition was made to the staff of the Department of Horticulture. This man originally graduated from Massachusetts Agricultural College and had just obtained his M.S. from Pennsylvania State University. He has grown to be an important part of the University and Stockbridge, not important administratively, but for his contributions to the students who have had the good fortune to encounter him in his thirty four years here. His contributions have not been limited to classroom relationships; he has worked with 4-H Clubs, F.F.A. groups, and Boy Scout movements. Active in athletics during college this man has maintained his interest in sports, as assist- ant coach when Stockbridge had a varsity football team and now as an official at University field and track events. Presently he is advisor to both the Stockbridge Student Senate and Alpha Phi Omega, the service fraternity. We could go on extolling this man's virtues but this is unnecessary because of his deeds for which he is well known. The class of 1964 is honored to dedicate the 46th edition of the Stockbridge School yearbook, the STOSAG, to Mr. Alden P. Turtle, Assistant Professor of Horticulture. He will be missed by us when we have gone. We hope this yearbook is soniewhat worthy of what he has given us.

President of the University, John W. Lederle, has often spoken of the Stock- bridge School's part in the total Uni- versity program and the way in which its graduates have distinguished them- selves. He has played an important part in having our school's graduates receive the Associate's Degree in Agri- culture.
It is hoped that under his leadership the relationship between Stockbridge School and the University will remain as fruitful as it has in the past.
\
Arless A. Spiehnan, Dean and Director of the College of Agricul- ture, is a national leader in the agricultural field. Though he is seldom in personal contact with the Stockbridge student, our school's program has been greatly enriched by his association, an association which we are proud to have.
DIRECTOR of the Stockbridge School, Fred P. Jeffrey is personally known by each and everyone of us. He has played an important part in giving us the ap- propriate portions of theoretical and practical experience which bring us academic excellence in our own special- ized professions.
It is his personal interest and keen understanding which makes him stand foremost in our mind.
The Stockbridge School's continued growth and development under Mr. Jeffrey's able leadership will broaden our School's outstanding record of lead- ership in business, industry and agri- culture.
--'<!.j«3<i
A warm and friendly smile, always able to find time for the individual, this describes William F. Field, University Dean of Students. He has earned many lasting friendships with Stockbridge students.
